Participants will search for and collect sand, shells, and shark teeth at the beach. We will then take a closer look at them under a microscope inside our trolley (https://www.marine-eco.org/the-trolley/ ).
Participants will meet friday night for dinner and a brief overview of the weekend. Everyone will meet at the beach location Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. and stay until 4 p.m.
All children participcating in this program MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian the whole day who will be responsible for supervising the child (drop off options will NOT be available).

Food will not be provided, therefore it is important to pack your own bagged lunch for Saturday/Sunday. Additionally, participants should bring a towel and bathing suit to the beach if they want to get in the water. Finally, it is reccomended that you bring a hat and sunscreen to be protected from the sun during this program.
Yes. As with every MCERC program, photos of participants will be taken and possibly used on social media and our website (marine-eco.org). Participants must sign a photography agreement before being fully enrolled.
Of course! As long as you keep each child under close supervision during the program.
Wear casual clothes and be prepared to be outside in the hot weather/sun.
Requirements
- Review and sign required forms under "Curriculum"
- Enrollment is only complete after the forms are signed and the participants have payed a non-refundable enrollment fee
- A parent/guardian must accompany the children for the entire duration of the program
