MCERC Wish List

The items on our wish list in the boxes below factor into program fees. With your generous donations, MCERC will be able to purchase this gear and keep program and activity fees within reach of people interested in becoming active participants in marine and coastal ecology conservation programs!

Scholarships

Scholarship funding helps relieve some costs for marine biology students

Research Vessel

Our goal is to raise funding for a 33′ Panga boat with a bimini top & 2 outboard Yamaha 150 motors or similar small vessel fit for research

Trailer

Funding for a trailer to haul the research vessel

Snorkeling Gear

Funds will be put towards snorkeling gear to provide for MCERC team and students in field research

Rain Gear

Rain gear is nice to provide for students and interns – working on the water isn’t always sunny! 

Safety Gear

Student & intern safety is of utmost importance. Funding will provide: life jackets (mustang working collars & type I vests), signal beacon, vessel GPS unit, depth finder, advanced First Aid kit, fire extinguishers, flotation devices, & marine radio.

DSLR Gear

DSLR camera gear will be used to teaching students and interns many useful applications in the field

DSLR Dome

This funding will provide underwater housing for the DSLR camera with a dome

Tablets

Tablets will be used for viewing photography in the field

Handheld GPS

Handheld GPS units (marine) will assist data collection

Computers

Computers with large screens will help MCERC to compare images and analyze acoustic data

Video Camera

An underwater video camera with housing to assist in data collection
