Description
The Marine Educator Certification course (Part 1) is designed for people with a degree in marine biology and related fields who are interested in achieving the skills an instructor needs to engage and communicate with their students over today’s far reaching platforms. You will develop learning modules and presentations based on your personal interests, including charismatic marine megafauna, accelerated climate change, ecology of marine and coastal ecosystems. MCERC instructors will supplement classes with lectures on current events in marine based topics that captivate audiences over social media. You will expand your portfolio with professional learning modules to take to your own students and outreach events as you navigate the techniques necessary to communicate complex concepts in science.
